Hi there about a month ago I returfed my lawn done the usual watering morn and night every day for two and a half weeks. It grew quite well but did not want to cut it quite then. We went on holiday for ten days and as we had a lot of rain here while we were away thought that it should be safe. When we got back it was looking lovely and green and it was very long, I finnaly got round to cutting it and it was a bit patchy but not to bad. That was a week ago and now there are great big brown patches all over, I know that as it got so long that the light could not get to the bottom of the grass and it should have been cut sooner. Could any one let me know if it can be saved or is it normal for it to do this at first. Any advise would be greatfully recieved thanks......

Because you have cut so much of the green top in one go, the plant suffered. Its made worse because after only a month the roots won't have properly established themselves into the soil below. But its probably saveable if you keep it damp and cut it weekly on the highest setting of your mower for next six or so weeks.
