in my opinion was uncomfortable viewing! Playing that bloody song whilst Dot said goodbye to her fags and Bradley got emotional watching the Guinea pigs having a cuddle. Is their anything redeemable about the program at the moment ( other than Staceys stunning brother)? The amount of new characters that just cannot act, at least Hollyoaks keeps it pretty whilst being utterly ridiculous.

I missed it, I was in the pub, what was the song?
Eastenders is terrible at the minute, I used to like it too. No wonder it was trounced at the recent awards
uh, I'm glad I was in the pub too!
The song was the one with the lyric 'I die a little'... this one I think :

To answer the question though, no, EE has nothing redeemable about it. It's as entertaining as BB at the moment.
No it was the wonderful Cole Porter classic "Every tiime we say goodbye" sung I think by Sarah Vaughan

EastEnders has been dire for years. There are no characters that you can empathise with, so any rambling seemingly endless storyline falters away because nobody really gives two hoots about the character involved. I mean, take the Stella/Ben scenario (I havent watched it for some time but can well imagine this is dragging out for a Christmas special) we all know that this is child abuse and it is of course immoral, but do we give an ess-haitch-one-tee about the little sheister? No. Ditto that whiney pregnant one and the mad professor, sorry doc.
'Eastenders has been dire for years'

It certainly has, about 22 years.
