Hi, I had a personal training session at the gym with a personal trainer, she pushed me quite hard doing big wieghts, im only a 9stone, 5 foot 22years old girlie, that was on Wed, and i've been off work since with upset tummy, aching muscles and headache - do you think its to do with the gym or just a coincidence?

The aching muscles will be as a result of the training session if you are not used to doing such heavy weights/intense training. The upset stomach and headache I suspect are due to something else, unless you ate one of the weights and banged your head whilst training ;o)
It sounds like she didn't 'stretch you out' properly afterwards.
My experience of personal trainers has taught me to go to a man - women can be cruel and mercenary.
Your headache could be caused by overworking your shoulders, try having a massage.
Maybe your upset tummy is the thought of going back to the gym - lol.

If it's possible try having a quick swim before and after another gym session - or even instead of, until you're ready to venture into the gym again.

Thanks guys, went to the doc and he thinks its a bug thats goig around at the moment so i have to not eat (isnt a problem since i dont fancy any food that comes to my lips) and drink lots of water. thanks for your answers. ive been well put off of going to the gym next!!!
Please, please, please, do not overdo it when training. Like you I was once a fit and active 22 yr old (hard to believe I know) but I thought nothing of getting in the gym @10am and coming out @7pm every single day, now @ 47, I am suffering arthritis , shoulder pains and various other ailments associated with overtraining, your body will tell you when you have done enough, forget the no pain no gain crap . Take it easy and in and out in 1 hr is quite suficient
