I'm on a diet and I'm going to an Indian restaurant tonight. I have the palette of a four year old and don't like spicy foods. Any ideas?

Stick to the plain poppadoms, have a butter chicken or passanda or korma, or even tikka masala. Most of the rice and naan breads aren't spicy, there's loads to choose from veg wise that isn't too spicy/hot either. Enjoy!
Just noticed you're on a diet, probably the korma is the least fattening of the dishes I mentioned, rather you than me tho, mmm butter chicken!
Please chuck your diet on the bin just for one night. Tikka Masala and Korma are ghastly dishes which contain more sugar and colourings than chicken. Try a King Prawn Biryani, like all biryanis it comes with a medium vegetable curry. Or a dopiaza, oniony. If you like spinach, try a Chicken Sag. Tarka Dall (lentils) has a mild kick and is pleasantly laxative. Be a little adventurous, ask the waiter to tell you all about the dishes on the menu, do they have a chef's special ?

Have a great time anyway, if it was me I'd be having Naga King Prawn Phall
Hi helster, if you are on a diet you're best to go for the dry tandoori dishes, i always have these and they are lovely. They are dry baked in the oven, usually you can get chicken or prawns done this way. Maybe avoid a naan bread and go for plain boiled rice. Popadoms are pretty low in calories too. Enjoy!!x
Chicken Shashlik is good. It comes sizzeling on the plate with lots of veggies.
