Any house heads I found a great house radio station
www.unknownfm.net
They broadcast on 108fm (London)
But can any one explain to me what is a pirate radio, as in do you need a licence to transmitt then?

Pirate radio stations are illegal unlicensed stations.
thanks, been listening all evening, good station.
And now that you've advertised that they are on 108FM in London the DTI will be out looking for it tomorrow.....

If you didn't need a licence to transmit then everyone would be transmitting there music on all frequencies and at whatever wattage they wanted to so you would get conflicts on the FM frequency which could affect emergency airwaves, but now most emergency services have gone digital so it probably wouldnt matter

There are loads of pirates out there,
heights 87.70
Pointblank 90.20
to name a few.


So basically its someone in a flat (or like) just transmitting out!
