Don't panic manortown!!!! Think K's withdrawal of help was aimed directly at an individual who does not acknowledge his answers...ever!!! K is still around...well he'd better be!!!
I have just logged on and was shocked to think that K was not going to help! However, I realise that that this is not the case and I am very relieved. I agree with his sentiments on people who never acknowledge answers - a simple thank you (or stars) is all that is needed as otherwise you do not know if they have even bothered to read your answers. I must say, however, that there are many people who are very grateful for help and say so.
Stay with us, K.
I can understand K's annoyance. It got to me until I started keeping a list of those who neither say please in the question nor acknowledge an answer - if they ask a question now I ignore it.
Please don't give up K
It was just I have spent a fair bit of time and gone to some trouble over many months answering this particular persons questionswithout so much as a peep in return!.
I'm afraid that today I 'lost it' and told the person that in
future I would not be giving any more help to them.
Someone followed up my message with the comment 'well there are always others who will answer'
I know what you all mean but I often don't have the actual word 'please' in my question. I think i just hope that it is clear in my tone that I am asking politely! But I always say thank you....
