Does anybody else get irritated with the inarticulation of Pete Mitchell who is at present presenting the Alex Lester show on Radio 2? He cannot string a sentence together without "Erm""uuh", "aah" in it. Surely there are standards that presenters must attain when applying for broadcasting jobs. Listening to him on air is like listening to some of the football stars being interviewed on TV. Or is it just another case of falling standards and the decline of society as we know it!?

I find the same thing with Sarah Kennedy when she is doing the newspapers. 'err...umm...' GRR!

Yes and she has a great tendency to witter on incessantly as well. Not what you want first thing in the morning!

She annoys the hell out of me, especially when she says she doesn't do requests when she actually means dedications (what is "showtime" if it's not a request slot?) and the way she tails off sentences without fully saying the last wor...
