I struggle with sleeping at night. Can anyone recommend any drinks that I can have in the evening that will help and not fattening.

Thanks

cammomile tea? its supposed to make you a bit drowsy, and has zero calories. Its a bit funny-tasting, but you can buy 'cammomile & spiced apple' flavour tea (twinnings) which tastes of cinnamon and is much nicer.
Valerian herbal tea, needs a bit of honey to sweeten it but it works well.
Whisky...which I dislike. A wee dram at bedtime I've been told...by a scot of course.....I trust him.....give it a try...Ron
Although alcohol, glass wine/ toddy does seem to get you off alright it seems to interfere with your sleep patterns and make you wake up later on. So stick to your milky drinks, lots do a light version these days that you just add hot water to so are not too high in calories.
Probably a bit fattening,

Warm milk with a cinnamon stick

Should be ok with semi skimmed milk though

Thank you for all your letters that have been really helpful.
If you really have to sleep I find horlicks works every time. (I go for the traditional kind and make it with milk).
Has to be a mug of chamomile tea with a good book after a nice warm bath, clean sheets mmmm
