Anyone seen the new ad for sainsburys king prawn recipe? Went yesterday to buy some prawns but couldn't find the recipe at the store. None of the staff seemed to know what i was on about and haven't seen ad since. beginning to think I dreamt it!! Ingredients were prawns, rice and chorizo I think? Anyone help??

Is this the one ..it's from one of their recipe cards .

75g Cooked rice
30g Chopped spring onions
30g Chorizo Sausage sliced thinly
100g Jumbo Prawns cooked & peeled
2 Tomatoes, sliced
Cook the rice, drain.
Fry the spring onions and chorizo in a little oil.
After a couple of minutes add the prawns and tomatoes, fry for a few minutes then stir in the cooked rice .

I don't know where you live shaneystar or what prices are like in your area, perhaps you live by where the fishing boats come in.

I live inland and yesterday I bought, at my wifes request, some king prawns which basically in the size dept were just big shrimps.

This is for a dinner party my wife is chucking for six of her chums, and I swear for what they cost I could have bought a season ticket to Leeds United

You ought to get up Sainsburys sharpish.....buy one get one free on jumbo prawns at the mo....done recipe on Tuesday evening and it was LUSH..

don1... I do indeed live by the sea and not far from what was once a very busy fishing port .Alas that's all gone now but we still have a lovely fish market and a few boats that do still land and sell fresh from the quay.
King prawns though are just as expensive here as anywhere else !
