program not responding

Hello ,
Having some bother with "Program Not Responding"
I believe to be a software conflict.
I have diabled my windows XP srceen saver
Down loaded Regcure and cleared 1100 so called faults.
Run Windows defender.
Run CCleaner.
It appears worst at startup..
Can anyone advise how to go about sorting this out. (Apart from leaving the PC on 24/7)

Dont always believe programs like RegCure when they say they have cured 1100 faults.

Be VERY careful what programs you download and install to try to "cure" problems. Many just ADD problems.
