Are there any good castles ideally with a moat you would recommend going to visit in the south of the UK?

Leeds Castle in Kent would be my favourite. (Also possibly Herstmonceux - I know you can visit the grounds but don't know if you can get inside.) Leeds I have been to and I know there's quite a bit to see both inside and outside. It's just off the M20 Junction 8
IGHTHAM MOTE, KENT
Not a castle, but a moated manor house

Portchester Castle, in Portchester, Portsmouth is a good one. I live right next to it and have spent many happy days there!
Caerphilly Castle, near Cardiff, is a beauty. It has a
moat and a leaning tower.
It is also the 2nd. largest castle in Europe, after Windsor.
