Hi SKA. There a alot of sellers on eBay who sell the metallic self seal plastic bags which I buy and use for clothes. They are not expensive per bag and really protect the items in transit, more than brown paper, etc. I also use a couple of sheets of acid free tissue paper as it gives extra protection and scores points with your buyers. This, too, can be bought on eBay for a small cost. Good luck! I make a lot from eBay selling second hand stuff and it's a great way to earn money from stuff you don't need anymore. x
You could use the padded brown envelopes which are about 60p each in most stationary shops. But if you can find a Pound Shop you can get a pack of 6 or 10 for 1. As long as you add your packaging costs into the post and packing charge you make to the buyer then you won't loose out
For clothing, a padded envelope is probably too much. You could try a mailing sack.

As for where to get them, you could try searching eBay, or searching.
