Hello, Just need a bit of advice really. I've been told that i can claim contribution based jobseekers allowance. I have a partner who earns 21k and i also have a 20 month old son and im also pregnant (9wks). We don't claim any other benefits.

I would just like to know how much i'm likely to be getting?

Thank you.

It depends how old you are. You have to be actively looking for work and sign on every fortnight - and maybe show what jobs you have applied for since you last signed on.

All the information here:

If you're under 25 its 45.05 over 25 57.45, you need to have been paying National Insurance for the last 2 complete tax years to qualify and it lasts for 26 weeks and you need to be actively seeking work and will sign to say this every 2 weeks. If you don't qualify for any payments you can still claim but you will receive National Insurance credits only. I hope you are claiming your child tax credits.
