Hospital visit....

I have an appointment tomorrow at the hospital. A couple of years ago I ruptured the tendon sheath in my thumb. Doesn't sound much but it's extremely painful and also my right hand! I've had to wear a splint for the last two years.
After seeing two specialists, having several steroid injections, months of physio etc i've finally got an appointment with the surgeon for tomorrow who will decide whether or not they can operate.
Has anyone suffered with a similar problem and was an operation an option?

This happened to my friend and she now has a bent thumb but they decided that it was more risky to operate than to leave it as it was. She hurt hers opening a door.

Goodsoulette - went to the hospital today and they have decided to operate! Shouldn't be too long waiting either by the sounds of it.
Best of luck to you x
