I love rum and coke. What is the best ratio when using 37.5% rum as opposed to 40%. Is half and half excessive?

Rum and Coke

4 oz Rum (Bacardi)
8 oz Coca-Cola

For an extra kick, use Bacardi 151. If you want a lime taste, use Bacardi Limon.

With me it's more like 8oz of Bacardi and 4oz of coke plus a squeeze of lime and ice.

no its not excessive as a bartender as long as your liquer costs are where they need to be you wont have problems.
if you bought it and your dinking at home mix it however you want.
