I took a call at work today from a stationary supplier and the guys name was Chris Peac0ck. There is a news reporter with the same name on ITV, but he calls himself Christopher.

Has anyone else come across a funny name on a real person?

I once had to arrange a meeting with a man called Dickon Stainer, which I thought was a pretty unfortunate name. I also once knew a vet called Mr. Wildgoose.

I went to see a doctor Shawn Delere.
I almost fell off my chair when in a waiting room the tannoy emitted "Mr Quentin Cumberpatch to room 3, please. That's Mr Q Cumberpatch to room 3, please " followed by a range of snorts and giggles as the announcers ears caught up with her mouth......one very red teenaged boy stood up and shuffled off. What were his parents thinking ?
A colleague of mine was put in charge of a branch of a well-known supermarket the last week before it finally closed. A larger branch had already opened in the same town, so there was never more than a couple of hundred customers in the store at any one time.

On the final day before the branch closing, he announced hourly over the tannoy whilst looking out of the office window "Mike Hunt to the office please, Mike Hunt to the office". He was determined to see how many people would stop dead in their tracks and boy, did it work!

I worked for a global PC manufacturer years ago, and we used to have great fun trawling the email system for amusing names from overseas offices. in fact, we had a competition - 'The Bundhoem Ouch Memorial Silly Name Competition' named after the first winner. Other memorable ones included -
- Dusty Rector, which went well together with...
- Sandy Nun...as did, strangely, the next two...
- Fanny Fok
- Thomas Finger
- Wiley Wohlf

OK - now this is genuine, but while at work I got a sales email from a guy called Titus Suck. I thought it was a spoof but he's genuine -
