I heard that MSN was going to become obselete is that true? and can anyone tell me when and why (its not for me - its for my daughter who lives and breathes it lol)
Just checked and mine and hers seem still intact?

No it's rubbish.

Even if they did stop it though, there's still the competing others like AIM, Yahoo and Jabber -- people will just switch to one of them (hopefully Jabber).
