As a bit of an amateur on computers just how difficult do you think the ECDL course would be?

I'm sure someone can give you a better answer than me but I work in I.T. and some of our staff have recently passed all of the ECDL stuff. The staff in question were more admin types than technical bods so I don't think you need to be some sort of technical wizzard to pass. Give it a go, what's the worst that can happen?
The ECDL really teaches u how to use most of the software now in use in offices....wordprocessor, spreadsheet, database, presentation program, email....at the beginning it may seem daunting but give urself some time...first aim to know what the software is used for...then do some stuff with the software and then work on the speed at which u can do the task....U can buy books with cd's to study with in ur home or else go to a local school or college in the evening or even a full time course...6months should have u fairly computer software literate...good luck to u.
Mme LeMarchand has almost completed the ECDL course, and has found it quite straightforward. She's not a great fan of computers, but felt that it was important to get some sort of basic training/qualification.
