Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of moles in the garden without the use of traps or poison.

Put mothballs down the hole but the moles might just move to another part og the garden http://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profiles1000/mole s.asp
Carefully dig down through the hill using a trowl to locate the run place two sprigs of gorse with the tips pointing in either direction then carefull put the earth back.
It will not harm them but make them move on.
them kids windmill thingys work a treat just stick them down the hills and the vibration interferes with the moles hunting technique so they move next door

I have tried the windmill,no luck,I will try the mothball and gorse. Thanks coco pops,Thunderbird+ and dilf
Well I don't know how well they work but you can buy special mole repellers from garden centres etc, basically seems to be a long metal vibrating tube that you insert into the moles run.

I bought a repeller, molehills appeared the day after I put it in,but apparently they work after a period of time,so keeping the fingers crossed, hope they do.Thanks the millster.
As an ex proffessional Mole Trapper, trust me, the only way to get rid of moles is to trap them. There are loads of old wives tales, they dont work, they just move the mole around your garden. The mole deterrents are a waste of money, they get used to the noise and just tolerate it and in many cases have been proved to even attract Moles.

Trap them!! or employ a proffessional to do it for you!!
