I haven't got any personal experience with them but I have had plenty of people recommend me to stay away from them.

Check out this question on here and look at the reply from aberdeen nut : http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Technology/Ques tion378621.html

If you haven't got broadband yet but are looking then I would highly recommend Eclipse broadband. Which? magazine recommended them as the 3rd best broadband provider :

thanks..
I am currently with AOL, who are expensive, and their service seems to be getting worse of late. crashes for no reason..
May take a look at eclipse
Glad to help :D

I've been with Eclipse for around 7 months now and I have had no troubles with them. And for 14.99 a month with a 20GB download limit *from 6PM to 12am* (any other time it's unlimited) then you can't really go wrong :D

They also offer a whole free month when you switch from another broadband provider to them.

I could get 30 for referring, but I'll let them keep that cheque for doing such an excellent job :P
I have had TalkTalk broadband since last November and have had no problems with them. Granted, at their beginning, they could not cope with the flood of enquiries after advertising so extensively. I am only on 1.1 Mb but that is due to my distance from the nearest exchange but I am hoping that will improve this year. I have no complaints against them, I have my landline, BT line rental and free broadband, on TalkTalk 3. My monthly bill is just over 20 per month.
I've seen both sides of talk talk.

If it's all working it's great, decent enough downloads, not hit the 40gb cap even with trying and it's never been down. However getting it in the first place was a mission with Overseas call centres and 8weeks without access because of a line fault they wanted me to reboot my PC to fix.

It's like anything nowadays, if it's working great and can't beat the value, but customer service is horrible to get anything fixed. However you can't just poke that stick only at TalkTalk....
I've been with talktalk since last June and have had no problems with the service at all.
