fantail fish

I Have had 2 fantail fish for approx 3 months, i always clean the tank and do a water chage every 4 weeks but only recentley i have noticed that the plastic plants in the tank have started to discolour to brown, does anyone know what may be causing this??

It's algae and fish poo, all you need to do is wash the plants in the water you've taken from the tank, they'll clean back up again.

You can buy a products that can kill algae for fish tanks i think it might be algazine or somthing like that which is safe for fish but kills algae and last for ages
