Free lander roof rails

I have a Y plate 3 door Freelander GS with standard roof rails (the ones that wrap round from about half way along the roof to level with the waist line on the rear of the body)

I wish to remove them. I can undo the rear mounts using an allen key. The front mounts are enclose by a plastic moulding. Does anybody know how I get to them?

It may just pop off and reveal a similar allen key fixing. Try and prise it up and off with a small thin bladed screwdriver type thing !
