Manni - You said on another thread that you were a muslim, yet became disillusioned with Islam, and have been studying Christianity for the past six years.
As Islam is rarely out of the news these days, I would find your detailed views on both Islam and Christianity instructive, and would appreciate it if you took the time to enlighten us.
I'm sure your comments would trigger some interesting responses from other ABers.

Mani - If you have controversial opinions, then here, in the land of the free, you are quite at liberty to express them, and you will do us all a favour by doing so.
You may be politically, religiously, and culturally the same as me, or the complete opposite, but as long as we all respect each other as people, and conduct ourselves with decency, then there is no reason why we cannot exchange ideas, and even engage in passionate debates.
What degree are you studying for? There's a taliking point for a start, although I am still deeply interested in whatever views you consider controversial.

Alas, we all study politics don't we? On a daily basis? Watching the state manouvering its way into our lives, trying to interpret the "doublespeak" the politicians use, and then putting the world to rights from our armchairs.
"If only they'd listen to ME."
we'd all be in trouble if they listened to you theland.

dawkins - I'm sure you'd love it if they left me in charge for a while. I'm sure the environment would be greatly enhanced by my policy to erect stocks and pillories in every town centre and village square.
Court waiting lists would be cut by the introduction of "trial by fire" and just to show that I am merciful, I would no longer burn witches, just give them a good ticking off and an ASBO.
it would be funny theland. I'll look out for the tell tale signs such as cliff richard as cultural minister and stephen green as minister for science.

dawkins - send me your cv - you could end up in the cabinet!
Go for it Mani - debate is good.
Manni you mention you found Jesus in prison, and have been reading up on Christianity, out of interest why have you not undertaken further education in Islam, and spent the past 6 years studying islam, in an attempt to become a better muslim?

Or have you done that too?

(Sorry if you already answered this questions)
Question Author
Mani - I am of the opinion that the God of Islam, and the God of the Christians / Jews, are not the same God, as is commonly believed.
So often, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are described in the media as the three, "great world monotheistic religions," due to the belief that all three worship the same God.
What is your, (and anybody elses), opinion on this?

Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and is in fact, God himself, being the second person of the Trinity.
Is it not written around the inside of the mosque on the temple mount, that Allah has no son?
Jesus may well be venerated as a prophet, but that simply demeans Him by taking away His divinity, does it not?
mani is all that really true?!

u sure u aint just some little kid having a laugh?
