WHY don't NHS bosses start hiring obsessive compulsives as nurses? Their attention to hygiene and constant hand washing would see an end to MRSA outbreaks in no time.
I think you have a good point here. But rather than rely on a quirk in their mental nature this could be installed in them by strict discipline during training and after by a matron.
they would useless - being sqeamish and feeling icky all the time if a patient touches them and got germs on them. rushing off mid task to wash an invisible speck off them, changing their clothes in the middle of shifts etc lol
My mother works in a hospital and she quite often sees - female at least - outpatients/visitors failing to wash their hands after going to the toilet. There's big glossy posters everywhere politely warning people about hygiene etc. There's warm water, scenty soap and lots of paper towels at hand but many of these women ignore it all and sail straight from toilet cubicle in to see a doctor. Unless you're allowed to say anything to them, it seems in vain.
