Because it was Bombay when originated?

Incidently, I didn't know that Bombay Duck (Dak) had been banned by the EU a few years ago, then the ban was lifted.

We wear moon boots, they didn't come from, nor were they invented on the moon .. lol.

Great help, ain't I?
Well yes..but they do look like Buzz Aldrins boots..don't they? ;o)
Indians might not use the name 'Bombay Potatoes', anyway - I think it's something like 'Aloo Dum'. They're probably not that concerned over what we call the dish - it's small potatoes to them.
We used to sell Bombay Duck (a dried, salted fish) in my Dad's shop yeeears ago, and I've not seen it since - I'd be surprised if anyone does eat it as it's supposed to have been banned by the EC.
One of these daft things that are trendy. Peking is now Bejing, Madras is something else. BUT Paris is not Paree, Munich is not Munchen etc etc. It is just that the local name for the place had been adopt by "The Media"
It was banned for a short while..then the ban was lifted ~ yay!

Not so good for me personally, as I can't stand the stuff.but great for Bombay Duck/Dak lovers everywhere :o)
