my washing machine has started to leak water from the front where the little bit is where the fluff gathers that you clear out. it only seems to do this when the machine is first switched on and filling up.
any ideas why?

Does the door feel looser than normal? Try tightening the screws.

the door is ok, double checked that and the pipe connection and the waste pipe isnt blocked so at a loss really.
Have you checked the trap? Clean it out and check the rubber seal hasn't perished.
I know this sounds completely mad...but I had my kitchen done recently and the washing machine was moved out and put back. I then started getting what you had, so I called the plumber he pulled it out checked it over couldn't see any thing wrong with pipes etc., and put and it back (under the worktop) and it hasn't leaked since...as I said Mad!
