Im asking on behalf of a friend.

I am 35,came off the pill after Christmas 05,fell pregnant beginning of July last year.
Hi, i'm 37 and have been trying since March 06, i think it just varies from age to age person to person.
I am 34 and i have an 18 month old son who was conceived without trying (bit of a welcome accident).
Have not been actively trying but recently havnt always used contraceptive but have been ok for last 3 months. Mind you, an 18 month old is a pretting good contraceptive and we havnt been having sex as much as we were 2.5 years ago lol
I came off the pill in January 2003 have been pregnant twice and mis-carried both times. I have 2 children from a previous relationship and had no trouble getting pregnant with them at all. I am 35 and due to go for a hysteroscopy this Friday to see why it is taking me so long to fall pregnant ( a year exactly to fall pregnant) and why I keep losing them. I am really hacked off. My last perios was November 26th was due Boxing day and am still waiting. I am currently 27 days late, have done 3 pregnancy tests and are all negative!
I stopped taking contraceptives November '03 and was pregnant by February '04! I was 34 at the time too. This was my 2nd child and my 1st child, born 16 years previously was just as quick too.

Thanks everyone for your answers, spanner7853 I hope you receive good news soon. My friend has been trying for 4 months and is getting really worried. She doesnt believe statistics as they are not 'real people'. Your comments will hopefully make her realise she shouldnt be worrying yet! Many thanks, Alison X
thanks Ali x
Tell your friend not to worry, 4 months is nothing. It took us a year (I was 32 when it happened), but everyone's different. Thing is sometimes worrying excessively makes it harder to get pregnant so she should try to relax and let it happen.
