ive been all over, and find people are mostly the same where ever, but then there are geordie nurses......lol
though i love living on the south coast....its almost tropical
My bit of "Up North" where I was born was full of dog poo, muggers, rip off merchants, and also good old down to earth human beings - same as anywhere else I suppose - near to the docks, loads of pubs, people selling stuff that, "fell off the back of a wagon," and yes, we had lead free churches."

Any guesses?

Careful now..........

'Woollyback'?...
I've been to Scotland boro.....

Actually......I need a map because geography is not my strong point
Well, if I ever move in this uncertain life, it will be to one of Scotland, Norfolk, Wiltshire, Yorkshire, in no particular order.

2 siblings went to Manchester University so I've been there a few times, and stayed near the City football stadium which is I believe at Maaaaaiiiiinnn Roooaaaaad. It's quite dark there isn't it ?

I love Scotties too, because they are pished most of the time, shout a lot, and are barely intelligible at best :):):)
I do have to go to Sheffield next week with work. I'm quite looking forward to it.
My missus and daughter want to move to Sheffield - what's it like?
I'll let you know after Wednesday. The people I have spoke to on the phone have been lovely.
I'm a Woollyback!
I'm from near H. Bridge and its lovely. Funnily enough I go down to Essex, London, Brighton a fair bit due to friends and relations living down there, and they all want to come up here ! The pace of living seems much faster darn-sarf and god help you if you drive and are not on the ball - they'll eat you for breakfast. However, has to be said - Southerners are lovely - not cold like they are sometimes portrayed, all the ones I've met are warm and hospitable, but up North it is great and not a bit grim - perhaps you are thinking of the old hymn that portrayed us with 'dark satanic mills' - those days are gone.

My overiding memory of H. Bridge is walking into a pub with my gf... and everyone stopping doing what they were doing and looking at us like sh!t.. like that seen from American Werewolf in London!... 'and' my gf at the time was from there!

Maybe they knew something about her that I didn't?!!

sorry.. should be 'scene'...
It's got the best football team!!
It was always too cold for me though so I moved down South. Travel to Warrington at least once a month to visit family and it always takes me a couple of hours to defrost when I get home.
Wouldn't miss a visit though no matter how cold!
I'm from up north and its fab.

The house prices are way cheap we have europe's biggest shopping centre and i love the accent :o)

Plus England's most beautiful people and most beautiful places are 'up north'

Plus its far from grim in the toon on a frida night...
Will you Northerners stop telling people how good it is up here. We'll be over run by them down South if you are not careful.
