I am going to get slammed and possibly bullied for writing this, but I am sick and tired of tip towing around and having to watch what I say in case it is classed as racism and offensive to other religions. I'm sorry to those of you who don't agree but I think the crackpots who stand for Politically Correctness in this country should just crawl back to where they came from.

I'm sick of us being dictated to by other "groups" who do not support or respect our traditions & beliefs. So why should we respect theirs. This country is going downhill fast and it won't be long before we as a nation will be dictated to.

We are told that it used to be that society viewed with deep distrust and suspicion of anyone who WASN'T a Christian. Now it's the opposite: Society wants to be seen to be tolerant to those who have faith in xyz/Other Faiths/alternative

...expressing them.
OK let's replace your idiotic argument with another name than Jade Goody's. Let's say Harold Shipman or Ian Huntley or Saddam Hussein and I think you'll see how flimsy and ill thought out your argument is.

"In MY society, Haold/Ian/Saddam has the right to be whoever he wants to be. Who are we to judge anyone? Who are we to victimise? I'd say the media and the public are abusing Harold/Ian/Saddam's human basic rights."

Jade Goody has by no means committed atrocities like the three I have mentioned but she has still shown herself to be have morally reprehensible thoughts and conduct towards others that must be condemned. People CANNOT do what they please if what they please is outside the laws of decency and common conduct..
you say jade can be whoever she wants to be - well so can we - and if she is allowed to be an OFFENSIVE LOUDMOUTHED BULLY - then we can all choose to be the sort of people who judge and condemn her for it...can't we...?
we can cause a huge uproar of hate for her if we want to - well its only fair isn't it...!
What makes me laugh is this nonsense about how we're supposedly a christian - oh, sorry, a CHRISTIAN - country.

I think you'll find that if we're declining as a christian country, it's nothing to do with immigrants, and everything to do with the supposed christians who can no longer be bothered to attend church or observe the religion (other than to quote the bible in order to back up some bigoted belief).

The question author clearly has an agenda: to defend Goody against any accusation. She can say what she likes and that's fine, but no-one can say what THEY like about HER. How does that work, then? And to use that as the basis for an odious rant about immigration is just plain creepy.

We're talking about being offended - okay, I'M offended by the suggestion in the question title - "victimised by her own people". What? I don't know whose "people" Goody is, but she sure as hell ain't mine. Maybe she's your "people" if you don't see anything wrong with stupid, juvenile, ignorant behaviour like caling Indian people "poppadom", and turning a simple disagreement with them into a string of vicious playground taunts based on their race. If that seems perfectly okay to you, then yes she's YOUR people and you're welcome to join the ranks of the mouthy ignoramuses.
Good article.

And your point is...?
Question Author
isnt Jade a woman of colour? so speak!
Okay robotics - following Jim's earlier query - interesting second article, but what was your aim in posting THAT one?
