Is olivio not a spread? It should be from a bottle of olive oil.

oops, meant to say, just pour a little into a small pan and heat very slowly so that you can comfortably dip your finger into it.

My mum used to use olive oil whenever I had ear-ache when I was little, & I remember she would stand the bottle of oil in warm water to warm it that way.
You need the real Olive oil - you can get that at a chemist if you don't want to go shopping. It's only Olive oil that Doctors, nurses and audiologists advise using and that is simply to loosen ear wax.
please dont use cooking olive oil in your infected ear, phone nhs 24 rather than accepting advice here.at the moment.
Olive oil ...noo, as a life long ear aches sufferer do not put anything in your ear unless advised by a doctor. If its something like otitis externa then you couls get it all infected and worse. Get a hot water bottle and put it over your ear, the warming effect seems to help relieve the pressure.
I agree with the above. i thought you put warm oil in your ears to release built up wax not for an infected ear.

done it now and i do feel slightly better actually. I'm still alive anyway! Albeit, deaf as a post!
Almond oil is the oil of choice to soothe a sore ear by the way.
