try reed.co.uk, saw quite a lot of C++ stuff on there, monster.co.uk, totaljobs.co.uk and maybe mediaguardian? There's millions of recruitment companies and maybe some that specialise in that field, also check specific company website, for example i'm a journalist so i check emap and ipc etc. Good luck Darth.
I was an IT contractor and used www.jobsite.co.uk/ and www.jobsearch.co.uk/ extensively
I've just recently been made redundant so am also busy searching. I'd also recommend jobsite and totaljobs, got an interview through them today. And get your CV checked by someone who knows what they're talking about. I posted mine on the prospects direct website and they gave me personal feedback on it. However, as a point of interest my previous boss said she didn't post vacancies on general websites or even newspapers, only the main company website so she knew people applying were specifically wanting to work for the company. Maybe look at co websites specific to your area of expertise. Good luck.
one of the best sites i've used is www.jobserve.co.uk - it helped me to get a job a couple of weeks ago!
I use fish4jobs.co.uk. Many local papers have an automatic entry so the jobs are up to date and you can search in many ways. I know for example 90% of local govt jobs make their way on to the site. Good Luck.
My house needs painting darth.

watercolour or oils?

anyway i have gone off painting (very funny mrs yucca!)
Try CWJobs which is an I.T. only website.
I found CWJobs the best. They have loads of agencies (boooo! we hate you agency scumbags!!) signed up to them. You get a daily email of jobs matching criteria which is handy.

thanks (and three stars) to all that responded. Darth
