Xtreme (although Eric Clapton's done a version) - More than words.
Eva Cassidy - Over the Rainbow.

Possibly the only song I'd call beautiful.

Roddy Frame's (of Aztec Camera fame) solo album 'Surf' mostly just him and acoustic guitar and one of the most underrated songwriters this country has ever produced.
This is a post I had to come back to!

Coconut Skins - Damien Rice

9 Crimes - Damien Rice

Farewell To A Friend - Elliott Smith

This Side Of The Blue - Joanna Newsom

Milk - Kings Of Leon ( not that accoustic :( )

Album Of The Year - The Good Life

You're Not You - The Good Life

Always Dissappear - Things In Herds

Please Don't Put Out The Light - Things In Herds

Sorry if some of that stuff is a little obscure =[! But it's all good x enjoyyy
anything by Jackie Leven
or Nirvana's version of 'The man who sold the world' off their unplugged CD.
More Than Words - Extreme
Try some modern smooth jazz from Peter White or Chris Standring. You can hear a lot of this easy listening stuff here.

You just have to download a little programme called abacast to listen. It's fine.

There are all kinds of instruments here not just acoustic guitar stuff so give it an hour or so of listening.

yep Peter Whites fantastic!

My favourite though is 'Black Label Society - Spoke In The Wheel'
Can I just endorse Goldspot's suggestion of Jackie Leven

...he's really worth catching live too!
see if you can get a copy of a cover by johnny cash song called HURT about self harm amazing.
I know some think of him as a bit old hat/MOR but Gordon Lightfoot is brilliant if you're in the mood.

you need one Canadian on the Ipod at least!!
Sufjan Stevens - Chicago [ Accoustic ]

!!!!
Counting Crows live album (Across A Wire) especially Chelsea and Have You Seen Me Lately
the two albums by 'Kings Of Convenience' - 'Quiet Is The New Loud' & 'Riot On An Empty Street'. both equally amazing for their laid back, simple, beautiful songs.
Nick Drakes 'Pink Moon' is pretty 'kin brill too
