pa_ul, I was shocked to see New Brighton too - obviously someone hasn't been there for many, MANY years!

West Kirby? yeah, if you like waking up with eleven toes!!
Blackpool? nope, see above!
Southport? humm, ok-ish although the fair ground has closed for good.

I quite like Llandudno, there's not much there but it's nice just the same.

I love Barmouth and Portrush. Had to spend the night on Blackpool beach once. It was disgusting!!!!!x

Anywhere with pebbles. Hastings, Whitstable...

I absolutely loathe sand. It makes me feel sick and panicked if it touches my skin.

Yeah it's lovely, just past Bantry on the way to the west. Lovely, isn't that where you can go out and see the seals at Garinish Island?

Yea...That's the place...my (ex) uncle in law takes the boats out.....the nicest place in the world. Or one of....

Totally, such a great mix of hills, cliffs and rugged coast with easy access! Was the one place I remembered the most first time I drove through it. No wonder the seals love it with all the oyster farms out there!
How do you know the place? Have you been to Castletownbere and Schull, Skibberean (sp), Ahilles, or Aardbeg and Eiries etc out the west?

No, just went on fishing holiday/chillout a couple of times for a couple of weeks in the last 5 years. Fell in love with the place. I live in Cornwall, but not Cornish.
