Just bought a Wireless G router but cannot connect to my Sagem modem. Currently the modem has a USB cable to my computer but the router has no USB port. Is there a cable I can buy or do I need a new modem? Any advice?

Chances are you need to connect your modem and router to your computer through an Ethernet connection. If you Computer dosnt have a port you'll need to buy one. They are easy to install but if your not sure a good computer shop will sell and install you one for around 10
You need a new modem - it must connect to the router by ethernet. USB is far too slow.

If you are using ADSL (not telewest or NTL) the chances are a combined modem/router will work very well.
Who advised you to get a router when you had a USB modem??!! Come to Answerbank in future. Are you sure it is just a router? If you are lucky, maybe you got a router/modem, otherwise (as Ethel says) you need to invest in a new modem/router - look at Netgear.

Thanks for your replies. Sounds like 50 wasted! I have ordered a USB/RJ11 adaptor but I'm doubtful as to whether it wil work.
