Heater does not heat up

My Ford Courier heater does not work, the fan operates at all speeds but does not give out any heat.

A lot of Fords are fitted with what is known as a Heater Control Valve - when it goes wrong all you get is cold air from the heater no matter what it is set for - I would have a guess the valve is faulty in yours - get the correct replacement from Ford for around �30 - �50.
Not too difficult to fit.
I had the same problem with my Escort in that there was no heat coming through, just cold air.

The temperature gauge was also high so I checked the radiator water bottle and it was empty, turned out the pump had a leak.

Had the pump repaired and heater now works.
