I really want to get in to mystery shopping assignments. Can anyone suggest any reliable companies? I've tried googling it, but so much comes up that its confused me! Thanks in advance.

These guys do mystery shopping aswell as drug trials of which you are not expected to take part unless you so wish.

They do charge a one off membership but you will easily get that back on your first shop and a lot of there work is London based.

That pays 50p per online survey, so it's just a fun thing really.

Try 'Retail Eyes' and 'Cybershop' - both are reliable and pay fees and allowable expenses promptly. A range of assignments are usually available in most areas.
