e mails

I have an old boy in canada who sends e mails and attm
at the top is his addr then some times 6 others who he sends to , also next to cc there is 10 more ,mine included ,does this mean my addr is flying all over world
this cant be good ,can it ,I dont want to offend him ,so is there away to open attm safely ,specially his,or not to open any of his ,

To hide email addresses he could either:

Set up a distribution list with a name like "friends" and all of you in it and use that. then the email address does not appear.

Or instead of CC use the BCC (blind copy) option which means the email address is not shown.

Suggest to him that when he sends a forwarded mail after he enters your mail address he highlights and uses delete on all of the other addressess.
