I have had new bettries fitted in my key fob and it still doesn;t work!

there is usualy a sequence that the buttons need to be pressed to reactivate a fob after the batteries have been changed.

It depends so much on what model and make of car. Some, if you dont replace them within 15 seconds, have to be reprogrammed.

I had mine changed at Vauxhall once and the cack handed 'technician' - (salesman) broke one of the delicate, soldered connections inside - which I only discovered when I opened it later.

on fords you normally have to put the key in the ignition and turn the key to certain modes and press the remote keys in certain ways it is right that sometimes you have to replace the batts within 15 seconds on some cars and one of them is the ford scorpio ultima you dont have that car by any chance..........as my ultima has to be re proggramed regulary as if you accidently press the unlock button around 15 times when it does not activate the alarm it needs to be reprogramend
