ive been given a phone made by 3 , all it says on the phone is LG then the 3 logo. is there any way of unblocking it so it will accept my orange sim out of a nokia 360i or is this illegal . its not nicked or out like that its all legit but i cant use the nokia as its been dropped in a puddle. the nokia is a contract phone but is not insured as when they[ orange] sent me a new phone with my upgraded contract i chose not to use it and carried on using my nokia. so consequently when the nokia was drowned i found out that it wasnt insured and ill have to pay 200 for a replacement. anyway help me out please. cheers
cheers bob- the new phone from orange was a motorola dogs billox slim thing , but after years of nokia i couldnt work it so my daughter made me a cuppa then asked for it. i phoned orange and they ok'd it, but didnt tell me that the insurance for my new contract didnt apply to my old phone.
anyway cheers bob
I've never heard of a Nokia 360i model, does it even exist. Whether you unlock the phone or not the important fact is that it is a 3G phone . If the SIM card is from a 2G phone then it will not be compatible anyway.
The last 3 years I have had 5 contract phones for the family and reclaimed every penny of the rental from Dialaphone, Carphone Warehouse and this year Phoneboxdirect.
They depend upon people either not bothering or forgetting to claim the cash back or not complying with the stringent conditions laid down at the start of the contract.
If you follow the conditions to the letter and accept that the phones are not the absolute top-drawer models, then its the ideal way to get a new phone with free x-network minutes every year.
Remember to cancel the contract by giving notice after 11 months.
