How can I stop my windscreen wiper blades from squeaking / screeching as they go across my windscreen. It's driving me mad. I have cleaned the glass and replaced the blades but after a few weeks they start all over again

Try rubbing the glass with newspaper, the print cleans the screen and stopped squeaking when I tried it.

Good Luck

Thanks, will certainly give it a try!
Use white vinegar with the old newspaper - it's an old trick and works a treat.
Use a high level of screenwash to water and I usually find that's OK !
you know what? this happens to me too! i also get a film *i don't think 'film' is the spelling for the film i mean ahha* across my windscreen and no matter what i use - from vinegar to window cleaner to newspaper to cloth. so not only can i not see for a bit when it 1st starts raining lol i also have an annoying bloody squeak! haha i suppose you just get used to it after a while! :D

xXx
If the blades judder accross the windscreen it is because they are not set correctly - to check this, turn the wipers on and then turn the ignition off mid-sweep so that they sit halfway up the screen.
Lift the wiper off the windscreen and put it back again almost touching the screen - the blade should be at 90 degrees to the windscreen.
If it needs altering - get an adjustable spanner and close it on to the wiper arm close to where the wiper attaches and twist the arm round so that the blade is at 90 degrees to the screen.
Also make sure you use a screenwash additive and not just water.
