Yeah, agree it is probably James Morrison as he is more contemporary, and I'm unused to doing cryptic clues as it's never easy to know how many steps away from the original clue to take in order to get the answer. For example Cox Wood could be Sara Cox leading to Sarah Harding (hardwood) but if the spelling of the first name is different then there's prob a completely different answer. Anyway, good luck with the answers, maybe you could post them if you get the result, as some of them are frustrating. btw

some of them seem too simple to be true, surely 8) is Miles Davies? (some people spell it Davis, not sure which one is correct)

NO 15 is nerina pallot,if it is miles davis why does it say 1560 yards when a mile is 1760 yards,unless the question setter got it wrong
