I find InDesign easier to use. Many of the companies I work for use it and those that don't are switching to it.
So if you're wondering which one to learn for work purposes, I'd definitely go for InDesign.
InDesign for me. Don't use it personally, but most of our graphic designers do. We can't accept Quark files, but can from InDesign
InDesign allows you to work between that, photoshop and illustrator.

QuarkXpress is old hat now

thank you! Relieved as am working in indesign all the time now and it is very straigtforwartd to use although alot of job ads still ask for QuarkXpress instead?!
