Music editing programme

Hi!
Does anybody know where i can download a free music programme/software where i can edit songs (pitchbending,cropping etc) and then save it as WMA,MP3 etc format?
I have tried DeejaySystem VJ-II, but i cannot save the changes on this.

Have you tried audacity ?, its a very good free program and i'm sure will do most of what you need.
