I'm very confused about the name of the hamlet in which Joseph Conrad lived. I can't relate it to Richard Harris Barham.

I saw the earlier post about Hamstreet, Aldington etc but it hasn't helped. Help please!

The only problem is that Bishopsbourne is nowhere near the course.of The Royal Military Canal unless I've misundersttod it all.

Was Conrad a fly by night ,he seems to have resided in many parts of Kent,or was he avoiding poll tax Ha Ha.
Anyway,after long perusal i am going with Orlestone.
