How long does a new concrete floor take to dry?  Not sure of the thickness (need to check with the builder) but would hazard a guess at 130mm.  Just itching to lay my laminate!!!

no matter what the thickness, concrete can usually be walked on within a couple hours. it takes 30 days for concrete to fully cure but you dont have to wait that long to build on it.
Concrete continues to "dry" for its entire life, gaining strength as it cures.  This is the reason the manufacturers of the laminate you will be using will tell you it's important to use a vapor barrier (plastic sheeting, etc.) as the first layer directly on the concrete before laying the sound deadening layer.  I'd wait for at least a week before beginning.  Here in the U.S. concrete is usually 4 to 6 inches thick for most applications...
we have just built a conservatory and we were hoping to put laminate down onto a concrete floor, 6 inches deep (put down 3 weeks a go) - we have now been told it takes a month an inch
