Has a new 007 been cast yet and are they making another film?

Brosnan is doing one more then he's giving up - as far as I know nobody has been chosen as yet, any suggestions for good replacements?

weeeeellll....there was some ( very stupid) hype about Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Bend it Like Beckham) being the next James Bond, but im absolutely positive that its not true. I have no idea whos next but i just hope that the next film perks up a bit cos ive found the last few to be a bit lacking.

rumour has it the next film should be out in 2004, it is also alleged that Mariah Carey has been approached to sing the soundtrack but no rumours yet on the cast

I heard a rumour that Robbie Williams wanted to be the next Bond, heaven forbid!!!

pierce brosnan said this week that he isnt doing another one because the bond people are too scared to take risks with the character, so every film is the same. and i agree. quentin tarantino wants to do a period casino royale, and i want him to as well.
