You may be able to get a good picture through a freeview box. They are down to 20 now, but will become very very cheap over the next 6 months to a year.

Yeah, your TV will run fine with a set top box for freeview or similar..but Sky is digital anyway..unless your still using analogue Sky...very rare...

So you wont have any problems viewing TV.

Although I wonder if you were also refering to HD TV, well just in case you were....HD Programming wont be universal for years and years and years yet/...HD TV is expensive and most channels have not even started showing programmes in HD yet...and the ones that have have two channels..one for HD and one for standard viewing...just in case you wanted to know..so dont worry about changing your TV just yet
Just realised, you meant your other TV's.....

Well you can still get add ons form sky to make all TV in the house connected to your main sky box..or free view.

..as to what would happen without the channels beng digital....well assuming the powers that be turn off normal ariels...you wont get any picture at all. .but although they might announce an official 'go digital' date..I suspect they will keep the normal ariels turned on for a fair few years after that point..in reality not everyone is on Digital yet..so they would lose out..I guess..I think..eerr..I know what I mean
