Could anyone on answerbank help me please I hope I am in the right catagory section,I hope to buy an Olympus camera in the next week it is digital,but they have a Olympus type-M- 512mb XD picture card (panorama) what is used for and do I need it???.

the Olympus card enables you to take a series of photographs and then by using the software with the camera to "stitch" these individual photos into a panoramic /continuous shot covering say 180 degrees or up to 360 degrees around you.

it used to be that only Olympus cards allowed this facility but other manufacturers may now provide this.
