i have an olympus e300 dslr--i believe normally it can only take an olympus lens--i understand there is an adapter/converter that can be fitted to it so that it can take other makes of lenses which are often cheaper than original olympus lenses--anyone know anything about this--i would appreciate advice on what i need and where i can buy it--thanks and cheers

There are several independant lense manufacturers that make lenses to fit the olympus, you need one with what Olympus call a four thirds fit.

No need for any adaptors.
