Evergreen oak acorns

I have been told these are poisonous, but one of my dogs really likes eating them, it doesn't seem to make her sick, or have any side effects. What should I be looking out for, and are there any anti-dotes. She really is a strange dog! Any help!

They affect the kidneys and build up in their system.
Hi malteasers, It would appear that they are moderately toxic and can become adictive.
